A few weeks ago I shared about the Kellogg’s Recharge Bar and how you can ” Rebuild and Recharge with Kellogg’s #CerealandMilk “. This week I wanted to share all the wonderful Kellogg’s Breakfast Combo Creations, that Chef Christina Tosi served at the Recharge Bar.
When we visited with Christina Tosi at the Recharge Bar event, she explained that she wanted a solid base to her breakfast. So for her, it was the different choices of Kellogg’s cereals. She blended flavors of Special K and Frosted Flakes, or combined the “Snap, Crackle, Pop of Rice Krispies with Frosted Mini-Wheats. From there she moved upwards with additional toppings ranging from fresh fruit, nuts and spices. Each one of the Breakfast Combo Creations have a unique flavor and character to them. I enjoyed the Cinnamon-Apple, Banana Nut, and Berry Au Lait while at the Recharge Bar event. Even though I didn’t try the Tropical Mermaid and the Pistachio Lemon, I did recreated The King combo at home. The King has been my favorite since coming back home from the trip to NYC. The mix of Raisin Bran, Toasted Peanuts and Banana Chips seem to give me the fuel I need to get through the day. Are you a breakfast eater? Tropical Mermaid
Ingredients:
- Frosted Mini-Wheats & Rice Krispies
- Skim milk
- Toasted Coconut Flakes
- Sesame Seeds
- Fresh Sliced Pineapples
The King
Ingredients:
- Raisin Bran
- Skim Milk
- Toasted Peanuts
- Banana Chips
Cinnamon-Apple
Ingredients:
- Special K Protein
- Vanilla Yogurt
- Ground Cinnamon
- Apple Slices
Pistachio Lemon
Ingredients:
- Special K Original & Frosted Flakes
- 2% milk
- Pistachios
- Lemon Zest
- Thyme

Christina Tosi is the chef, owner and founder of Milk Bar, called “one of the most exciting bakeries in the country” by Bon Appetit Magazine. As founder of the dessert program at Momofuku, Christina helped Momofuku Ko earn two stars from the Michelin Guide and Momofuku Ssäm jump onto restaurant magazine’s top 100 restaurants in the world list.
