An LED digital display shows carbon monoxide levels that the unit senses, and it allows for viewing CO level changes, which can be seen in dark conditions and from greater distances. A night light is included, which can be set at ten different levels along with an escape light feature. The escape light brightens in the actual alarm mode phase, which aids in evacuating an area in dark conditions or when the electricity is down.
Adjustment for the night light is made through the peak level button or turned off altogether if required. An ambient light sensor spontaneously turns the night light on or off depending on available light conditions and an AC power connection. The display brightens in more lighted environments and lowers for a softer look at night. When removed from the AC power source, the display is disengaged and battery life is conserved.
The Worry-Free alarm has a 10-year sealed lithium battery that provides power-outage protection, restricts unauthorized battery removal and does away with battery replacement.
