Me, I have been an avid laptop user for over a decade now, and I feel I have a good handle on what works well and what doesn’t. Unfortunately I have fell victim to the great deal, only to have a far from performing laptop a few months later. Only to try and upgrade a PC that was struggling to compute on demand.
For me, I need a laptop that works on demand, just like me. Not to say I have have a rough J.O.B., its just I do travel from time to time and need a reliable laptop.
Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook
Recently I got my hands on the all new Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook with a 5th generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor. My first impression of the #XPS 13 is the size and lightweight design. The XPS 13 is nearly the same size of a legal note pad, just slightly heaver (2.6 lbs.). Next surprise from this Dell XPS 13 is the stunning 13.3- inch display. The XPS 13 has a unique virtually borderless infinity display, with only a 5.2mm bezel on the top and both sides. That’s the thinnest frame on a notebook today.

After cranking this bad boy up, which takes only a few seconds, you can really take in the amazing craftsmanship from Dell and Intel. The combination of the stunning QHD+ display, the power of the 5th Generation Intel® Core™ i5, and industry-leading battery life, getting over 15 hours of run time on a single charge.
How I Stay Connect Away From Home
Since I have had the Dell XPS 13 I have retired my old tired desktop and now use my laptop has a primary PC. With some of Dell’s accessories like the USB 3.0 to HDMI / VGA / Ethernet / USB 2.0, allows me continue to use my second monitor. Mainly I love the easy of use and versatiliy that the Dell XPS 13 offers.
I brought the XPS 13 on my trip to Chicago for the Auto Show. Which I don’t normally travel with any PCs. The XPS 13 fit in my bag easily and was effort free in caring around.
The Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook starts fast, connects online quickly, and has all the functionally of a normal high performance pc. I was able to chat online with my wife, or video chat with my kids when they got home from school or when it can time for bed.
I don’t normally travel a lot, but it is important to me to connect with family while I am away.
I even found myself working in the middle of busy Chicago O’hare Airport, doing a Twitter Party for a client. That is when I realized I had found a laptop worth bragging about. The Dell XPS 13 is not only my new favorite toy, it is necessity in my busy life.
