There have been many times that I have been told I am the fun parent… the one that makes everything fun for our children. I feel as though the kids often look to me for something fun to do. There may be times when I can get a little carried away while playing like a little kid and act goofy.
Recently, the girls and I sat down for a moment to share a new book, Because I’m Your Dad Book. It was definitely a pleasure to be able to sit and enjoy another good book with all three of my younger daughters. The silly looking monster dad and the things he would do for his own children were completely relatable to us. We were able to laugh and talk about how we could do similar things together.
Plus, the illustrations throughout the book are simply brilliant in color and design. In fact, they even kept my three year old’s attention as we read through the book three times in a row. It was easy to see that this book would be a story time choice again and again.
Nothing like reading a book you can put yourself in and relate to, and brings your relationship closer to the little one that look up to you.
